Receding gums during COVID19
Hey, so this is really weird but I’m highly concerned. I haven’t been to the dentist in almost three years because of a variety of excuses. I’ve been trying for the last six months to get to an office but I have to move around a lot which makes it difficult.
Anyway, in the last week my teeth started to really hurt, and I’m pretty sure it’s because of wisdom teeth and cavities. But I can’t schedule an appointment with a dentist because everyone is on lockdown for the next month as part of quarantine (I’m in the US). It’s also come to my attention, though, that my gums are receding. I’ve been looking into costs and whatnot and I’ll be able to fix it when I can get in but it’s still really expensive.
When all is said and done, I’m just worried that they’re going to recede too much before this virus/lockdown lets up. My question is essentially at what point would this become an “emergency?” It was brought to my attention with the pain from my teeth, but I feel like it’s getting worse every day and I don’t want my teeth to fall out before they even let me see the dentist.
