Daycare these days?

Question

My daycare facility is still open yet everything else is closed except for grocers, gas stations, and restaurants for take out. I am still working from home ... Would u send your baby to daycare during this time? If I don't, there is no way I can work being as I'm on the phone and computer constantly and can't keep an eye on her and work at the same time.

I stopped sending mine to daycare but my husband also works from home and neither of us do calls. Both of our jobs are aware we don’t feel comfortable sending our kids to daycare and have been supportive of our choice to have them home. In my state daycares are actually closed unless you have proof that you’re an essential employee and the daycare has filed an application to serve essential employees, which my daycare did not.

I work from home, two of my kids are in elementary school that I have to help with school work, and watch my 10 month old. Basically my two older kids aren’t learning anything 😭😭 it’s so hard

We are still sending our kids to daycare. My husband’s job is deemed essential, and I just cannot watch two kids while working from home. And honestly, no one else is sending their kids at our daycare right now so i feel better that it’s just our two there.

We’re in the same boat as you right now. Currently still sending baby to daycare but trying to figure out if we pull him out how to take care of him while working. I’m thinking about maybe seeing if I can work on the weekends but have my phone forwarded for urgent needs and also switch off working remotely to see if that could potentially work out.

Friends of mine are tackling it differently.
One has hired a teacher from her daycare. Their daycare will hold a spot and not make you pay tuition if you pay to have a teacher come part time. They are from a different state.
Another family the mom wakes up 2 hours before everyone. Works during nap time. Then when husband gets home in the evening she works.
Other families are rotating between husband and wife who are both working and caring for child.
Personally I think everyone's work is in the same boat so people are trying to be as understanding. I wouldn't keep my child in daycare or expose my home to another person. Our state is in stay home orders.

My daycare is closed. I work from home and it’s impossible for me to work and take care of my daughter. I get very little done until my husband comes home from to work to watch. I understand the work from home struggle. I have no idea what I do if daycare was an option right now. I’d struggle to decide.
