Has anyone been advised to stop TTC right now?

My obgyn has asked our fertility specialist to hold on providing treatment to patients until more research has been completed in regards to COVID-19. I’m obviously bummed, as we’ve been trying for over 1.5 yrs. Just curious if anyone has run into this yet and what if you’re holding off right now.

My obgyn just confirmed that she does think that it’s best to abstain for at least one cycle, just bc so little is known about the effects of COVID on early pregnancy. Giant giant bummer...but likely for the best. Still sucks, but it’s only a few more cycles I guess. So until we get the green light....cheers to us ladies for being there and supporting each other through these odd and trying times!!

We haven't been cancelled yet. But we're told to abstain because of a trip to the bahamas.... We are using the opk and my normal symptoms to try naturally for now so we aren't wasting time. Hopefully I will be able to start injections as planned in may. Good luck everyone

Yes. My clinic cancelled my IUI 72 hours before our appointment. Reading the studies available and the lack of information on whether this virus is able to be transmitted through the placenta worries me. So far I’ve found no information about the effects of COVID-19 in the first-trimester and that’s beyond terrifying. With all of the unknowns, I’m grateful for them closing until we know our future child will be able to be safe from the effects of an infection. Heartbroken but grateful. 😢 💔

We have our second transfer scheduled for June, but the last months at my clinic were cancelled. As of right now May is on for transfers as well as June, but that could change

It’s such an odd predicament...just not knowing. Are we wasting time, are doing the right thing, does it really even matter?? I go back and forth on it. Hopefully we will learn more as this goes on so we can all continue our journeys! I’m sorry that you’re all experiencing the same kind of disappointment, but at least we all know that we’re not alone!

I have seen so many posts where the docs have cancelled appts and declining fertility treatment.

Yeah my fertility doc won’t even prescribe letrozole right now :/ still trying naturally but since we need Ivf, the chances are pretty low.
