Tummy Naps?
Starting this post by saying that my 9 week old baby goes to sleep every night on a firm mattress, alone, on her back and without blankets, bumpers or pillows. I am aware of the "Back to Sleep" campaign and SIDS risk factors.
But during the day, I've started to place her on her tummy to nap while I supervise (like a hawk!). As she wakes up, she moves her head and neck really well.
Since I've done it a couple times her active tummy time play has been a lot more enjoyable for her. She used to scream as soon as she hit the mat, and now she's up to 7 minutes of cry-free play.
Is it really THAT bad to nap on their tummy? What do you all think?
