Did you gain weight with birth control?

Next week I speak with my doctor about birth control options to regulate my bad PMS and period and my hormones in general. I have heard some people say they gained weight. What was your experience?

I had nexplanon for six years and gained 5-10 pounds every year. I tried diet and exercise and could only minimally keep it off. But that’s what worked best for my schedule and habits instead of taking a pill every day or changing a ring every few weeks.
