Is anyone else’s little one not saying real words yet? Just babble?

Someone else posted yesterday about communication and the lowest option was like 5 words and the most was 41 so I don’t feel like we fit in that at all. She says dada and sometimes points at her dad and says it but sometimes says dada and points at a tree 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol. She understands a ton but just doesn’t articulate any thing really clearly yet. Lots of babble and screeches. Anyone else in this boat?

I am in the same boat he does not say any words. He randomly will say Ma but not anything particularly. Babbles all day long, makes eye contact, walks, plays with others, and understands a lot of things like if I ask him to hand me a toy or if I tell him no. But I just cannot get him to repeat anyting or say mama or dada. I'm starting to really worry.

Mostly babbles here too. She does. Make some associations though. Like she comes to me saying “ma ma ma” when she’s upset. She knows “dada” is upstairs during the day (sleeping because he works 3rd). If you say “where’s dada?” She goes to the stairs saying “da da”. She also has her attempt at “thank you” but it’s never the same sound lol sometimes it’s a “do” or a “da” and once or twice she’s put them together for a “da do”. But she also understands a lot, like the other comment, she can bring me things if I ask, she knows no and stop and a few others but for her actually “talking”, it’s mostly grunts and babbles lol

Our son is almost 14 months and has JUST now started babbling a little. He randomly says dada but definitely not with any sort of meaning. He knows who we are when we say mama or dada and understands lots of other words but has no interest in repeating them. He took his time with crawling and probably will with this too 🤷‍♀️
