Alternatives to crib??

Question

Hi, I’m a FTM due in June... we are in transition between housing.  Currently living at my parents.  We have a decent size room so fitting a full size crib isn’t an issue, but we are wondering if anyone has ever had their baby sleep in something other than a crib for a few months, ie: a bassinet??
Just a passing thought, maybe there was an temporary alternative for the baby to sleep in so we don’t set up the new furniture than have to move it to our new home shortly after.
Ps; please share any of your favorite bassinets and/or cribs!

We use the halo bassinet for the first 3 months then transition to the crib and it’s worked great!

Pack n play us a good option. I did bassinet first 2 months, then pack n play, then crib at 7 months.

Pack n play. I skipped the crib completely because of the living situation and decided to skip with my next baby even though it’s different

We will be having the baby bed-share with us for the first 6 months to a year.

We used the Arms Reach bassinet in our room for the first 5 months and then transitioned to a crib. Havinh6a bassinet close to you is a great way to start out!
