Late period could be because of exercise?

So the app says I should have started my period yesterday but I haven’t yet and Ik that a day is nothing pretty much but I was just wondering: recently because of this lockdown I have increased both the frequency and intensity of my exercise so that I am exercising at a moderate to high intensity 5-6 days a week. So could this be the reason my period could potentially be bit later? I have read before that increase in exercise can cause this but I wasn’t sure whether it was true. Have you guys experienced anything like this?
