What to buy?!??

So I'm coming up on 16 weeks and I don't have one baby thing.. Like nada!! People say wait until after the shower.. But what are things people normally don't get you? It's driving me crazy because I just wanna get everything ready!!

Oh man! I didn't have s shower becuz I didn't want to deal with that whole wait and see business. Lol plus from people that have had those showers I've heard it can be either really great or really sucky! People can buy a lot of stuff or some people just come to eat and run 😔so i wouldn't like get to caught up on relying on anyone unless you know for sure people will buy stuff. Either way ide say it's safe to buy the crib and stroller on your own as most people will probably buy like clothes, toys, diapers, maybe tubs, car seats if you get lucky! But I personally bought it all myself didn't want to get my hopes up to be broken and I do not think I'de get much anyways

I'm 6 weeks and have a crib lol. Only because I got a deal of a life time that I wasn't gonna get again. If you want to buy something, make it something special you want your baby to have from you. A special blanket or a bouncer with a cute theme. Doesn't have to be anything big. My mom and fiancé  are buying everything. I'm going to have a diaper shower, because in the end diapers are the most expensive things. Good luck! Hope you find something special.

The big stuff I would go ahead and buy. Such as crib and all.

We went ahead and bought the big things. Crib, changing table, mamaroo, rocker. Things we knew we wouldn't ask people to get us at the shower. We also started stalking up on diapers, even if you buy newborns and you have a bigger baby you can always return them for a larger size. We also started stalking up on wipes and I've been buying a lot of clothing that's 6 months+ I know a lot of people at the shower will get us newborn or 0-3 months.

I'd wait. My family has generously & graciously bought all of our big stuff as gifts. I definitely wasn't expecting them to Have your shower early enough that you can get whatever you still need after it.

I wouldn't ask for a crib, rocking chair, stroller,car seat  or anything large, I plan on buying that. I want a baby bullet for making baby food, a rocker (whatever the little thing is called that the baby lays in) bottles ,diapers,blankets, bathtub, pack n PLAY maybe from my mom or MIL
