Iud strings

Hey ladies. So question, I got the copper IUD put in and I just felt for the strings. They are right there. As soon as I go in, BOOM strings. But I feel they are long enough to be out if they wasn’t curled. Are they supposed to be that long? I did as when I talked about getting it if she could cut them a little long but not that long. And when I went to get it it’s been like a good 2-4 months so she could if forget I asked because I didn’t say anything about it. Should I be worried? Is that normal. I had it once before but I don’t remember them being that long at all.
