Right, wrong...who knows

My fiancé’s family (should say mom and sister) literally suck! They live in the same town 5 minutes away and never see our kids! They have an excuse every time we invite them out for whatever reason. Only come when it is convenient for them or change their mind and don’t show up even after THEY planned it!

Okay so my fiancé let his sister borrow his truck for work. She’s in the process of saving money to buy her own. No biggy. I’m all for helping out family no matter the circumstances. So before she had the truck I let the excuses slide on not seeing the kids... she has now had the truck for 2 months and has not seen the kids at all. She has no legit excuses on why she hasn’t been out. My mom had knee surgery last month and his mom decided to step it up and say if we needed anything with the kids to let her know. Great! Finally! But boy was I wrong. We asked her if her or the sister can pick up our oldest from school as she had an early day out. That was too much to ask for. Thankfully my mom got released to drive the day before. So the next hurtle came. I had work, my dad had to pick up my brother in another town and his sister had the truck! So I told them we needed the truck back and they brought it the night before and took it back the day we used it. That has been the only my time she has seen the kids since she has had the truck. And the only reason she came out was because we needed the vehicle to pick up my daughter since the offer back fired as usual.

I told my fiancé that I wanted the truck back. He was pissed and upset and could not for the life of him understand why I want it back. I have told him time and time again (even before the truck) that they don’t come see, call or even ask about our kids. I told him I’m not asking or wanting her to come out everyday all day but every once in a while for a bit would be nice. My children do not even ask about them unless their name is brought up. How sad is that. Then they are hurt when they say they are coming over and don’t show up. I am tired of it. I can’t protect my fiancé from continuing to get hurt from them but I will my kids.

I know a lot of people are going to say there is a pandemic happening which any sane person knows and understands BUT let me tell you it would be the same situation if there wasn’t one happening!

Should also mention his sister doesn’t even have a drivers license anymore as she didn’t renew it and now has to take the whole drivers test over again.
