Losing weight while TTC? Trigger warning:weight loss

Question

So my current weight is 182 lbs and I am 5’4 I want to lose 40 lbs. I’ve been trying for 2 years and 1 month. 
Did anyone else notice that when they lost weight they conceived? I’m starting to think this is my issue. 😞 my period used to be very regular and I’m starting to think they got wacky from weight gain. Any tips or opinions/advice would be awesome.

My dr told me that my weight had nothing to do with my ability to conceive. But we have been able to conceive, i have just been having trouble carrying to term now. Your weight gain could be due to underlying issues such as PCOS. Have you been completely checked out?
