I have an appointment for my sons 12 month check up, should I go with this virus going around?

So my sons 12 month check up is April 23rd, he’s getting his last round of shots but I’m terrified to go due to this Coronavirus. I’m from Southern California so the cases are rising out here
But I don’t know if I should go or if I’m putting my baby at risk. I know he needs his shots but then again I’m second thinking it because I don’t want to put him at risk.. what is the best thing to do in this situation? Has anyone else gone thru the same thing and did your baby’s doctor say its ok to still come? I need some help I’m stuck 😩

These shots protect him from other disease, that are somewhat worse than the one we have now...
But call the doctor before the appointment (a day or two) and ask. The situation change by day and hour, maybe they don't want you to come in now, maybe they will postpone, and itis fine. Just call them.

I'm in Georgia and I'm still going to take my daughter to her appointments unless I get told otherwise. She'll be 12 months(or one years old) in may and that's when her appointments are.

If my doctor recommends I keep my appointment then I’m keeping it. If my doctor recommends canceling then that’s what I’m doing. My daughter’s 12 month check up is at the end of the month. I feel like the medical professionals can guide you best on this topic.

My doctor canceled all appointments except for well babies under 18months who needed vaccinations.  They said risk was higher for babies not getting vaccinations than catching covid at this point.  But that was last week and things change.  Call your doctor and see what they advise.

I would delay, if you are self isolating anyway the chances of getting the other illnesses is currently low, but by going out you are increasing the risk of getting the virus. If he is well a well child check is not urgent either. I plan on delaying my son's dental check as he's been brushing well and not eating candy and my daughters orthodontic work, as that can wait too. I also didn't go to my others sons eye test last week.  Another family members Asthma is very bad on steroid tablets and nebuliser so we could not take the risk. We will catch up with all this after the social isolation is relaxed and the risk is lower.

I wouldnt risk it. Honestly, unless baby is having a health issue that requires immediate attention cancel and reschedule.

I’m taking my son he’s going to the clinic they have separate areas for the sick kids and the kids that are not sick . I would call and see what your doctor thinks my doctor called and said it was an important visit to make sure we were there

I m from Southern California too and i have a 3 weeks old baby the ped group that i m taking my kids only see healthy babies in the morning and they check temperature by the door and dont allow anyone sick inside i believe there is a vaccination at 12 months just be very careful if your baby is walking use stroller and before putting back the stroller back in the car use disinfectant wipes or spray
