Do you guys/gals feel like there’s a minimum amount of time to be dating before getting engaged? My best friend got engaged within 2 months of dating and I got engaged within 6 months of dating. Both of us got backlash saying we didn’t wait long enough and I know( for me at least) I’ve never felt more happy and loved in a relationship. This pandemic really pushed us to the lowest we could be and we’ve had to move into my parents’ place because of our finances. None of the older generations want to acknowledge my engagement because of how short we’ve been together.

Edit: we started dating early August and have been been living together since mid October.
