Psychologist vs therapy

I feel like I just need to talk to someone. I'm not sure what the difference is or how to seek out finding a good one? Inwouldnlove some advice. I'm at a place in my life where I'm just not happy and I feel "mad" a lot of the time. I just want to enjoy life and stop worrying. Is this something I need to talk to someone about? There are a lot of other things too, just a lot to write
