Lichen Sclerosis and Delivery

I was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis 3 years ago, at age 30. While mine is well controlled, with a fair amount of work, I have some major concerns over vaginal delivery/tearing/reconstruction.

LS makes any tearing IMPOSSIBLE to heal, I can only imagine the tearing with childbirth. LS also accelerates with the presence of scar tissue, so it seems like a recipe for disaster.

I plan on talking to both my specialist and my OB that will be delivering about this, but does anyone have experience with this, and what did you do? 😬

I would almost rather have the "known" of a C-section than the unknown and very possible chance of severe tearing. Not sure on the rules of insurance and "elective" (ha!) C-sections.
