Is it Mean?
Due to covid 19, my husband and I are working from home. I work 4 10hr days on my computer, 430am-3pm. He works 930-1030 m-f and records classes for a 3hr chunk of time at one point each week. As soon as I'm off work I become the primary caregiver for our son until the next morning.
During the week he gets up with our son at 630. On Thursdays I get up with our son and my husband sleeps in. Most days, while I'm working, my husband needs help with changing a diaper, finding and making bottles, and feeding our son (11mo). I gladly help. I do not usually ask him for help. My husband mentioned this week that on saturday and sunday he would get up and let me sleep in.
Come the weekend our son wakes up at 630 as usual. My husband asks if I want to get up or if i want him to get up. My husband was up until at least 3 am (I know because our son needed a bottle and diaper change at 230) P drinking and playing board games with my brothers. I ask him to get up.
A 230 ish diaper change and bottle is normal for our son, and I do it every night. My husband wears contacts and glasses and 'cant see' at night enough to change a diaper. Not sure if hes blowing smoke up my ass or just being a big baby about it but whatever on that.
Was it mean of me to ask him to get up even though I got more sleep?
