Would you say it is safe to have changing unit next to crib?

Before the baby can move around and sit/stand up it’s probably ok. Once baby can sit or stand in the crib I’d move it.

I had a crib with one attached only problem I ever had was that when he could stand he would take the diapers out of the drawer and throw them on the floor lol

Some cribs come with them attached now , looks good :)
