Clingy baby / quarantine
So we’ve been quarantined in the house now for about 3 weeks. We haven’t seen any family/friends and my husband is still having to work (and extra hours too because of the Covid-19 crisis) so by time he gets back there’s not a long of time left in the day to spend time with our daughter.
I’m starting to notice she’s getting increasingly clingy.
We’ve never had a great time of getting her down for bed, but the last week(ish) she’s screamed blue murder unless I’ve lay down with her in my bed and she’s touching my face/neck. It’s like she wants me as close to her as is physically possible. She’s also unbelievably restless with her arms, they wave everywhere, she likes to scratch her fingers against things too (usually just gently scratches at my shoulder).
I have no complaints because I love the snuggles and I’m so lonely at the minute but I’m scared of creating bad habits, especially now she’s 5 months and coming up to 6 months.
If anyone else is currently in quarantine with no other children and limited options for your baby to socialise, what are they like right now?
I don’t know if the changes I’m noticing are natural changes due to her getting older or spending soooo much time solely with me.
