Am I overreacting?

My boyfriend keeps buying things for his brand new mustang but isn’t shopping for our son, even though I’m 31+2. I’m getting frustrated because he wants to keep buying things for the car, am I overthinking it or am I right and he should be focusing on the baby right now and not the car?

I would recommend sitting down with your boyfriend and having an honest and compassionate discussion.  Men often have difficulty grasping the reality of a baby before the baby is actually born.  It's an abstract concept for them, so he might have some real trouble figuring out what a baby needs.  If you sit down and explain what baby needs and ask for his help without judging him or anything, you might be surprised at how helpful he will be. 
That said, I could be wrong, but that is what I have noticed about men in general.  My husband with our first baby needed guidance. Still on our 4th baby as much as he is excited about the baby, I have to lead the charge on getting supplies and such ready for baby.  He will do whatever I ask and buy almost anything I want, but he won't ever say, "hey check this out, I want to get this for our baby." My husband is one of the most supportive, loving, generous men I have ever met, so have a little patience with your boyfriend.  He doesn't have the massive dose of hormones coursing through his body telling him get his "nest" ready for the baby.

Maybe you should just be like hey babe I'm using your card. Start buying stuff little by little. Plus just to let you know mustang's are terrible for carseats. I have one my self and it has been a nightmare. I have a 3 year old, my so hated it so much. But I love that car. So he got a dad car to suit his 2 babies and I got to keep my mustang. Good luck !

My fiancé is big into cars so I understand the frustration. Although my fiancé always discusses things with me first. Sit down and have a heart to heart and let him know how you feel. Let him know that you feel unprepared and need help and ask him to help with the baby planning and preparing. I always tell my fiancé to wait to get things since something may come up but if we have the money after he can do whatever. 🤷‍♀️

I read the first couple words and already agree wit you ! Mine hasn’t gotten anything and I mean NOTHING AT ALL !! His grandma has done more than he has and this is out second child together 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️￼
