Is it safe to take Azithromycin in the first trimester?

I got strep throat a a week or so ago and they prescribed me azithromycin because I’m allergic to amoxicillin. I took 2 days worth of pills and found out I was pregnant on the 3rd day so stopped taking the pills because I wasn’t sure it was safe.
Please help!!

Yes take it. An infection is more dangerous. If you’re ever questioning a medication. Your dr or pharmacist should be your first contacts. Never stop taking a medication without consulting your dr first as it can cause adverse consequences

It is safe! Im pregnant and was prescribed this from my ob doctor for bronchitis. I did have diarrhea as a side affect which is very common so just stsy hydrated and you will be fine.
