Can they save a baby at 21 weeks?

Let’s say a woman gives birth at 21 weeks. Do doctors try to save baby to help him/her live or do they just wait until they past?

Might be a chance but just depends on circumstances and what the hospital has. My nephew was born at 22.5 weeks and he’s 4 years old now. He was in the hospital until the due date he was supposed to be born.

Yes. I was just about 23 weeks and am almost 35 years old.

Now they don’t consider them viable til 24 weeks last year my water broke I wasn’t 24 weeks and she survived almost 31 mins and she took her last breath.....

My son was born at 21 weeks 3 days, tiny hospital so they wouldn't attempt to save him.. he was 1lb 4oz measuring a week ahead...  and I see 22 weekers surviving.. (I mean since he measured a week ahead) I'm envious.

Here in the UK the age of viability is 24 weeks but some units like the one I work at work more with a weight. So over 500g and trying we will intervene. Saying that we have yet to care for a baby younger than 22 + a few days old.
