Longs periods on Mirena ?

1st period since insertion,day 9 of my period!!!Period lighter and painless,great for that!But 1st time of my life I'm still in my period after 9 days,wtf???

I've had the same problem! Only my period has been super heavy and has been going on for about 3 1/2 weeks. It makes no sense seeing as they tell you that it's going to make your period shorter and lighter.
