Nipple Piercing experiences please?

Question

Once all this quarantine stuff is over and the piercing shops open back up I want to get my nipples pierced. What has everyone's experiences been and what advice can anybody give me while I mentally prepare? Lol are hoops or bars better when I first get it done like what is better for the healing process? I've had my nose and belly button pierced before so it's not going to be my first piercing but Indi care about my nipples alot more than my belly button or nose lol

I’ve had my nips pierced & i had a bar in the whole time since I’m not a fan of the hoops. It was probably the slowest piercing I’ve ever had. I swear time stopped when it happened but once it was done I never get sexier! It took A while to heal & at one point I really thought it was getting infected even with me cleaning it like I was suppose to but it ended up healing, guess my body was trying to reject it possibly! But I absolutely loved it! Best piercing I’ve had ( have ears, belly button, and had my tongue ) definitely the worst healing/piercing but I would totally get it again with some drinks before hand so it won’t hurt as bad 😂 I only wish I didn’t take it out but I got pregnant & was planning to breastfeed so it wasn’t really a option for me lol! I’ve had my done for almost 4 years and I heard the second hurts more than the first but the first was the worst and just felt like tour nips were sunburned for abt an hour. I took a cpl of ibuprofen after and have been fine since. Just wait the proper time to change our bars, I also prefer bars over rings and clean as you should. 😀

Hi! I got mine done in Sept of 2018 and love them! The experience was a little nerve racking and awkward, but the piercer I had was thorough and kind. I would recommend getting a straight barbell when you get pierced. My piercer put curved barbells and I had difficulty with my healing until I switched the jewelry out at 11 months of healing. I used saline solution twice a day, shot glasses for soaks are the best. Pressure on the piercings help when they're healing, so I wore sports bras a lot when I went to bed. Wait the year out to change the jewelry! hope you love them!

Bars are best because they’re harder to accidentally snag on clothing or blankets. The piercings hurt like hell when they were being done but as soon as the bar was in place, the pain was gone. My nipples felt cold for the rest of the day (I got mine pierced in the afternoon) but by the next morning, they felt perfectly normal. I cleaned mine with a saline wound wash daily and didn’t take them out for the first month or two. After that, they seemed to have pretty much healed and I was able to change them as often as I wanted to. I had them pierced for 2 years with no issues and I loved them. I only took them out because I was in the hospital and the doctor asked me to in case my heart stopped and they needed to shock me back 😬

Definitely get bars, I’ve heard that if you get hoops it can cause your piercing to heal curved. Also it takes a year or more to heal completely. The first week I caught mine on my towel drying off and I thought I ripped it out. I also I am way more cautious when I change my clothes. For me the pain wasn’t too bad and they are my only piercings, but the second one hurt the most. All in all they look really cute and I personally think that the regular ones are the best.
