Tips on how to stop breastfeeding through the night

My baby boy is almost 1 year. I breastfeed him to sleep at night and he sleeps in his crib for about 4 hrs or so and then wakes up I sometimes can get him back into his crib but most nights he is back in bed with me and practically sleeps with my boob in his mouth.. anyone have tips or tricks besides “letting him cry it out” on how to stop the night time comfort nursing? I’m not sleeping good and I know my son isn’t getting the best sleep either next to me, plus my nipples can’t take it any more.
