Forceful letdown?

Is there a way to help your milk not come down so fast? When im breastfeeding i can see the milk puddling up in my sons mouth and i have to sit him up more or give him a break. And when I pump i get 5 oz within 5 minutes.

I had this same issue! I started feeding him in the biological position/laid back position and that helps a lot. He seems to have to work a little bit rather than just getting flooded with milk. It also helps with his gas. It makes burping a lot easier too! Good luck!

I’m having the same problem. It’s causing him to get wayyy to much milk at once and he’s coughing and spitting up from it. I was told to pump for 2 minutes before feeding.
