Does true love exist??

As in soulmates or finding the one?? I feel like I’m never gunna find love. I was in a relationship for 9 years. He got in a accident and was never the same since, started drinking and his whole personality changed. I fell out of love with him. I miss the old him and I feel like I’ll never come close to finding someone again. I wouldn’t even know where to begin. I’m so shy and I don’t know how to just strike up a random conversation with a guy?? Like idk I feel like I’m just gunna be single for the rest of my life lol.

My mom didn’t meet her current husband until she was in her 30s, and that was after 2 previously failed marriages. 
Everyone finds love at their own pace. I do not believe in soulmates or “the one” or anything like that. You’ll find that you’ll be more compatible with some people than others. But there’s never just one person.

I sure do. I was with someone for 11 years (married 7) and a good chunk of it was awful. I’m sure I’ll find someone someday though and yes, definitely believe in soul mates.

Fairy Tale love does not exist between imperfect humans. (I believe the only true love comes from God but that's not the question I think is being asked).
Love is work and commitment. I'm married to my husband of 5 years and I love him so much but I'm not sure I'd call him my soulmate (although I did in my diary went we first started dating 🤦‍♀️). I do sometimes still feel like a schoolgirl with butterflies around him though. And I would say I'm "in love" with him as well as that I love him.
I think you find someone you're compatible with and share the same important values and love can follow from there. Respect is important too. Most people will be quick to "fall out of love" with someone they lose respect for.
"True Love" is a relationship between two mature adults who respect and don't give up on each other. 
It's not all romance and butterflies, it's tears and fights and supporting beach other thorough the hard times that builds love and trust. "True love" is is selfless love.

I beleive in true love but I do not beleive in "the one" I think the one is who we make it. There are billions of people in the world and the chances are that you would feel "the one" with multiple people if you had the chance to meet and date everyone but that doesn't mean that it's not true love when you're with someone.
