Rectal or arm pit temp ??

Question

How do you ladies take your baby’s temperature?? From their rectal or armpit?? Which is more accurate?? And which thermometer do you use?? 
When I take my LO temp from his rectal it’s 100.4-100.6 but when I take it from his armpit it’s 97.3 ...￼

My son is 9 months I take it rectally I didn’t start doing armpit until my oldest son was 2.

Rectal for sure.  Make sure you lube up the tip a bit

Rectal is always the most accurate. I do a general temp with a temporal (forehead) thermometer. If I feel that is inaccurate or it shows a fever, then I might try a rectal to get a more accurate temp. TBH though, I haven’t done a rectal in over a year

My son never cooperates when I try to do armpit so rectal is just easier. In your case I would trust the rectal reading
