Under wraps

Anyone else choose not to share the news of your pregnancy and still keeping the secret? I’ll be 31 weeks on Saturday, family and friends have no idea. This is baby #4. Unplanned, unexpected. Children and I moved back in with family following during separation. So we’ve been around family all day everyday. And definitely since the stay at home order. I’m a stay at home mom, full time caregiver for my oldest w/special needs. The younger two are toddler aged. Totally unprepared for new baby. No longer have any baby things since separation, no income due to being stay at home mom, and family even if they knew wouldn’t be helpful or supportive and honestly very ugly about it. Never had a shower for my other 3 and family knew about those pregnancies but they just don’t believe in showers or anything that implies the obligation of a gift being expected. They believe a gift is a generous unexpected thing not something you ask for or expect. So even without the quarantine if they had known a shower would have been incredibly helpful in my situation but would have never happened. Early induction in a few weeks due to medical complications and have absolutely nothing at all and no way to get it. Totally nerve wracking. Just wondering if anyone else was still keeping the secret. Hope you all are staying safe.
