2 year old sleep regression??

K

2nd (or more) time parents, I need help! My 2 year old had been in a great bedtime routine. I could lay her down after we finished our routine and she'd go right to sleep. Sometimes there was a couple minutes of whining but she didn't cry. And it took a lot of tears to get there because we coslept for a while before this so I was so happy and felt like we had conquered the sleep issues.

Well baby 2 is due in 9 days and she picks now of all times to start flipping out when we start bedtime routine, she calms down while we read, sing, etc, and then as soon as I lay her in her crib she flips out again. This has been happening since last week. I'm not sure what to do or why she's suddenly regressing when nothing else has changed...well, besides the whole quarantine thing.

Is this normal right before a big life change? Like is there any way she could be anxious about the changes coming even if she doesnt fully understand what's going on? Is 24 months a common sleep regression?

I've been just letting her cry it out after making sure nothing was wrong but it is discouraging after we worked so hard for her to be comfortable going to bed in her room.
