?? For parents who have LO in 2 language household

So im American and my hubby French, both languages are spoken at home. My  bub is 7mo he's babbling but not a whole lot.. I know that all babies are different but in your case when did your bub start saying mama or papa.. Or did they start with the language of mom or dad... Just curious.

my son started saying Mama around 6 months.

Mine  at 7 months started calling mama first. But I want to say to you that your baby might seem like they don't want to speak clearly for months and years and one day will shock you and start speaking both languages fluently. That's what happened with my niece. She refused to say anything for 2 years and then all at once she started seamlessly speaking both.

7 months is still very early to be saying anything recognizable. Like they can do syllables like mamama or bababa but not words yet. Totally normal, including for babies learning 2 languages. You might want to check out an app that tracks baby milestones. The CDC has one; basic but easy to understand.

My son says mama and ni around 10m 
I gre up bilingual French and English, my mom spoke only English to me and my dad and his family french. Around age 2 is when I started to decipher the languages from one another
