My son has The Belly Button Book it is hilarious. Other favorites include: Pat the Bunny, Cleo the Cat, Little Blue Truck, Click Clack Moo series, Bruce the bear series. Golden books.

This book helped me deal with the death of our family dog when I was about 5. It also gave my mom a way to start the conversation with me when she didn’t know how. If you have pets, I’d highly recommend it for when that very sad day inevitably comes. Even if you don’t have pets, it’s still a wonderful children’s book that helps introduce and explain the concept of grief.
