When did your toddles start walking ?

My son was a premiee when he was born he was support to be born on March 5 but was born February 12 . He's now 1 year & 2 month. He only crawls with his butt, but I seen he's been trying to like stand up but not completely yet. Me & his dad always try to walk him but he always cries like if he's scared. & OHHH YEA I FORGOT HES NOT EVEN STANDING YET WITH OR WITHOUT SUPPORT. should I be worried & take him to his doctor?

My son was born a month early. Due date was 3/25 and he was born 2/21. He was only 3lbs 13oz. He started walking around 10months. 
I also have a friend whose baby is a month younger then mine but also a month preemie so was born in March instead of April. And she just started crawling. Her pediatrician isn’t concerned. 
Every baby is different but if you are concerned you should talk to your pediatrician.

Let him take his time! Don’t force him (as you wrote yourself it will only make him scared). Babies born on time are supposed to walk by 18 months, and only after that there is a reason to talk with ped. I don’t know how this works for premies.

If it brings any comfort my daughter is about to be 14 months and is not standing independently nor walking yet. She was not premature. She is pulling up and standing but that didn’t start until maybe 11.5 months.

My girl was 6 weeks premature. She will be 15 months on the 16th. Only in the last couple of weeks has she started standing on her own. It literally happened over night, she just decided she was ready one day! We also try to walk her as much as we can. Some days shes more corporative than others. But she has only really started showing interest in the last week... Using a push toy/walker really helped her get more confidence and she has taken a step or two on her own but shes so dependent on holding onto something right now that it’s hard to get her to do it again. I’m not concerned about it yet because she is progressing. She’s just taking her sweet time lol. Just keep working with him and he will get there 😊
