Soother while breastfeeding?

What is everyone’s experiences with the baby taking a soother while breastfeeding?? A lot of people have told me that the baby wouldn’t take a soother. Thanks 😉💙

I'm 5 weeks in and he just took a bottle today but cannot grasp the concept of a paci. His boobie radar is off too I think he is defective 🤷‍♀️

Yeah I gave my son the soothie brand on the way home from the hospital after I swore I’d never give him one. He screamed for 20 minutes so I had no choice haha. But he had no issues with it and never got super attached. We didn’t use it at bedtime, just mainly to calm him down or to get him to quick using my boob as a paci. He stopped using it about 9 months.

My oldest only used a binki for a few months between 12-16 months through the worst of his teething. But my middle daughter i just kept trying to get her to like it and she eventually took to it and came to really like it. It was seriously so nice to have as a comfort when she had a hard time sleeping or teething or sick. She dropped it super easy before her birthday. My 3rd is 7 weeks and she will take it if she's sleepy she's coming around to it more and more for me its personally worth it to get my babies on it but to each their own

Is soother the same as a pacifier? My daughter never cared about them. We breastfed until about 9/10 months. Im indifferent on them. If she would've liked them, we would've used them. 🤷‍♀️
