Am I right for feeling mad about this?

Question

Back story, I use to hang out with this guy about 4 years ago and since then he’s became a huge druggie. 
Recently he killed his 2 step-brothers. In his own words because “he wanted to know how it felt to kill someone” 
His girlfriend posted this on her Facebook. 
Also, his mom has been trying to defend her son whenever someone makes a comment on his actions and even started a page in memory of her son (the killer) 
I’m annoyed about his girlfriend (and his mom) posting pictures of him smiling & she has other post about missing him and wishing he was here and it pisses me off because he’s not the one who got murdered... do I have a right to be mad about this?

She can post what she wants. It’s her Facebook page. If you don’t like it, unfriend her and block her. Simple as that. What someone else is doing shouldn’t concern you. 
The mother has a right to grieve in her own way.

Nah I don’t really think so. He obviously did a very bad thing and I don’t know what kind of mother she was/is, but there’s a good chance it messed her up some. She’s kind of grieving her son or her idea of who he is/was. There are a lot of conflicting emotions I’m sure.

I mean you can but why would you choose to focus on them and allow them to rent space in your happiness? Seems like a waste of time and energy to be upset about it.

I think it’s wrong but she is grieving in her own way and she is too concerned with herself to worry how others might interpret it. I think it is disrespectful to post something like that though

He sounds like a psychopath or sociopath. Maybe he hid if very well and his family and loved ones really thought he was some normal guy. This may be a complete shock to them. I would just block them if it upsets you. It is a very upsetting situation

I would definitely will unfriend them all, hope he rotes on jail for what he did  because of what i read it looks like he confessed so he’s guilty maybe if it was any doubt of him not been the killer It wouldn’t bother me but since you know he’s guilty and the mother and girlfriend still post things about defending him or saying good things about him   I would definitely think it’s not only him who’s not ok mentally but all of them and that’s just me.

You have a “right” to be mad, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to have the same feelings as you. He sounds like a messed up individual, and I’d only assume the people he drew closest to him were pretty messed up too in some way. People are weird and don’t always do what we think is “normal.” Be mad. I’d be mad. But there’s nothing you can do in the way of making other people feel what you feel.

A mother is allowed to miss her son. She’s not wrong in grieving her loss of her son. No, he didn’t die. But it’s still a loss that she has every right to grieve.
If you don’t like it then unfriend her.
He’s awful for what he did. But that’s a reflection on him. Not his mother. Don’t confuse the two.

Sounds like a psychopath. The mom is clearly wrong for posting such things on social media. She has the right to grieve on her own however she wants, but publicly posting while the mother of two murdered boys have no chance to even see their sons in prison ... she is a selfish person. She is just adding to pain of the victims family and in that way, she takes part in the crime. 
She should keep her love for her son to herself.
