How to get rid of/prevent ovarian cysts?

I have been getting ovarian cysts ever since I was in high school. They do not cause any major problems with me but are extremely annoying with the little aching and cause bloating.
They happen in the middle of my cycle and last anywhere from 3 days to a week. Is there anything I can do or stop doing to avoid getting these? I was on the pill, but I didn’t care for the side effects of it (moody ASF, weight gain)

I experienced them very bad they would get huge like a grapefruit and burst. I changed my diet completely by cutting out almost all carbs because the cysts feed off of sugars. I also started working out lost some weight and now i barely experience anything.
