SwaddleMe by your side sleeper vs Dockatot

Question

Hello everyone. FTM here. Wondering if anyone has used any of these two items for co-sleeping. I don’t have space for a bassinet and would prefer to have baby close to me in the beginning and then transition to the crib. I’m hoping to order either item this weekend. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

has a little light at the top & music with volume control. easily portable, and super easy to clean. there’s a removable wedge to help elevate baby. allowed me to safely cosleep with my daughter ✨

I actually got something like this. It has a portable/removable changing table, and converting bassinet mattress pad. As soon as the baby grows out of the bassinet, you convert it to a normal play pen with the mattress pad at the bottom. So it’s multipurpose and lasts a long time. A simple plain bassinet lasts about only six months tops, same with a dock a tot. Co-sleepers I don’t know much about, except my pediatrician recommended against those because of the risk of SIDS. Also, dock a tots are NOT meant for long term/overnight sleeping. Dock a tots are meant for just relaxing/laying down basically.

I had the Swaddleme By Your Side Sleeper and it worked well for us! I don’t think the Dock-a-tot is really recommended for unsupervised sleep, and it’s pretty overpriced imo. But my baby slept well in this until he outgrew it!
