How do you go about choosing a carseat.. I'm trying to add one to my registry, I know convertible is better but how do you narrow it down from there? I dont want to spend the most possible money but I dont think we should choose the least expensive...

Either Graco extend2fit or Graco 4ever. My son uses the first, daughter has the second. Only car seat you'll ever need to buy!

I had to choose mostly on if it would fit in my little car. I joined the ”Car seats for the Littles” Facebook group where they recommended different seats for my specific car. They also provide a lot of safety information so I’d recommend joining their group, especially if you’re a FTM.

We love our clek foonf! I would recommend going into a store to check them all out. Some stores allow you to try them in your car so you know how it will fit before you purchase it. Figure out what you need out of the seat. For us, a shallow fit front to back is key since we are both tall. This seat has a ton of great safety features and fits the leg room requirement. 
We also use a cosco scenera for travel because it is so light and really easy to install quickly on a plane. 
I have a graco extend to fit for my moms car and I hate it. It feels cheap and is super annoying to adjust. I would avoid their products if possible, as well as safety 1st. They just aren’t nice.

Convertible is great for older babies (the one I linked is what we have & love). While they are infants though, I’d do an infant carrier to help avoid waking a sleeping baby.
