How long is everyone making their family 100% quarantine before meeting their baby?

Zero meetings until the national ban is lifted. Why risk your baby’s life?

Thank you for sharing your opinion! My sister wants to meet him so badly before moving back to Omaha so we at first told her 2.5 weeks 100% quarantined and no interaction with anyone but we just told her today that we decided no visitors at all until this is all over. But will still let family see him from 10 feet a way through the window:)

I’m not just concerned about my baby’s health, we’re making ourselves vulnerable to potential COVID-19 exposure just by being in the hospital, which we could then pass to visiting grandparents. I think it’s critical that we keep our distance, for the sake of everyone’s health.

2 weeks minimum. Full quarantine. The only one able to do it is my mother. Retired and has been making freezer meals for the past week to live off of until she comes here to watch my toddler while we go to hospital to have the baby.

We’ve quarantined for 14 days (tools the boys out of daycare even though it’s still open) and my in laws are about 22 days. They come in to town on Tuesday. Due the 25th. Unfortunately we need the help as we are in the process of moving. If we weren’t moving we probably wouldn’t have them come. Also no family in the area so need someone to watch the boys while we’re at the hospital.

FaceTime and window visits only for the foreseeable future, end date to be played by ear depending on how the outbreak declines in my state. In addition to wanting to protect my baby, myself, and my husband from getting it, it’s possible one of us could pick up the virus at the hospital and be asymptomatic carriers. I would hate to give it to any of our family members, as sucky as the situation is that they can’t meet the firstborn grandchild in person for a while.

I have a 2 yo that will be watched by his grandmas while we are in the hospital (at least one maybe both depending how long in hospital) they both have been quarantined longer than I have but other than them likely no other visitors. That was 👍 per my ob and pediatrician.
