How long do you let your breast milk sit out before you consider it bad?

Some people need educated on breastmilk storage. 1-2hrs out at room temp and then throwing it out and is HUGE waste. 
4-6hrs is the time frame for room temp fresh pumped milk.

My LC taught me the rule of 6’s.
I vaguely remember exactly what the six’s stand for now but it’s like six hours room temp, six days in fridge, six months in freezer.

Freshly expressed is good 6-8 hours. If it was re-heated after being in the fridge then only 1-2 hours.

Also never just throw milk out. There are many many things you can do with breastmilk that’s not good for eating. Milk bath is one thing.

It's good at room temp for 5 hours

Well if its freshly expressed than 3 hours at room temp, if it has been previously frozen then only 1 hour once thawed. Thats what my lactation consultant recommended to me.
