Infected C-section Incision Site?

Question

I’m almost 8 weeks postpartum. I had an emergency c-section. I’ve been having abdominal pain on and off and didn’t think to check the site till now since I’ve been doing pretty well. It’s bleeding some, and there’s redness, swelling and itchiness. 
Is it ER worthy or can I wait till Monday to call my doctor?

As a nurse the fact that you’re 8 weeks pp and it’s still beefy red is a sign of infection. I would see an MD.

YES go see your obgyn, this same exact thing happened to me after my C-section, mine also got infected and it was SO painful & I had Staples and the infection made my incision open back up making it more complicated, it looks deff infection. Good luck!

Call your dr! After my first born mine got infected because they left fluid in me and it was trying to get out. My husband had to stick (doctors orders) a q-tip In the infected hole a couple times a day going in about an inch. I almost vomited every time! I had a dent in my belly from it after it healed. But after my second c-section it took the dent away when he sewed me up again!

I had an infected c section. You need to go in and see someone ASAP.

My incision got infected and I ended up getting a yeast infection near the incision. That's exactly what it looked like when it was infected.
