I still can’t believe what happened...

(Sorry for the long post) :)

I still can’t wrap my brain around what happened. So a couple of weeks ago I started to experience some mild pain in the area and just blew it off at something minor. (like period cramp or something) but as the week went on it kept happening but the didn’t get any worse. This was all near the beginning of this pandemic. so a few more days went by and my pain became unbearable at times but would go away after a few seconds. So I finally called the doctor and the told me to come in in a few days. So I did. As my doctor is checking me out she notices that she can’t fined the strings and I tell her that in the beginning they cut them almost to short so they have always been damn near impossible to find. So she finally finds them and to her surprise they are not in the right place. They are above my cervix! So she calls another doctor in the room and he checks and says the same thing. So after fixing the strings and being in more pain than I could imagine we decided to take it out. She couldn’t save it. Because it had pierced me cervix! She still doesn’t understand how and I can’t believe that after three years of having my iud (and not having one problem) this is what happens! Omg but now I’m back on the pill for a while. I just still can’t believe what happened and I needed to tell someone else!
