Short Lutheal phase?

Hi ladies, I’m worried I might have a short lp which could affect my fertility. 
I usually have my period around 12dpo but I always brown spot a few days in advance. That’s how I know af is coming. 
Is it a bad sign that I brown spot before ovulation ? 
When looking into how long my lp is, should I include the spotting ? Ie is my lp 10 dpo or 12 dpo ?

I wouldn't. New cycle begins on the first day of proper flow.
My luteal phase is 12 days too and I am successfully pregnant for the second time.
If you have concerns though speak to your doctor xx

You don’t count spotting.  I used to have spotting from about 9dpo until my period arrived at 11-12dpo and was told it’s a sign of low progesterone.  I was really stressed with work and I think that was playing havoc with my hormones.
