Period was late

Hi I’m 22 and I was 7 days late for my period and I was super worried and scared the last two days but then I started to get excited and I know it was too early but I started thinking about how my life was going to change and how deep inside me I really wanted to be pregnant. But then I took a test today and it was a negative I wanted to cry and then I swear like an hour later I got my period. I do understand I’m very young but I was really hoping that test was going to be positive and now I’m just super sad all the time..
