How did you do it?

To the ladies who have been in a relationship for 2 years or more how did your relationship go? Did you argue a lot? Were there arguments? How did you keep it "alive".

I've been with my fiancé for 8 years! You just have to be creative sometimes to keep the spark alive but it think people get to obsessed over that "spark", the key is finding someone you still enjoy being with even if the so called "spark" disappears for a while. Communication is #1. I see all these women on here wondering what they should do with their boyfriend/husbands who go out and stay out all night without telling them where they are or who they're with or that they never call/text them or won't add them on social media and I can't even fathom it. My fiancé is my best friend. I can tell him ANYTHING. He always knows how to make me smile. We can't wait to see each other every day after work even after all these years. The key is to find someone you don't have to struggle to trust or communicate with and someone you feel completely comfortable with!

I have been with my husband for 5 years and married to. It take open communication and honesty. Also It takes forgiveness and the will to accept them for who they are. Yes we have had arguments but most relationships do.

We have been together for over a decade now. I will say this the first 2 years for us were mixed. You have your honeymoon phase of 6-12 months but the month following were really us testing our boundaries and our love to see how strong it was and if the weak spot were ones that we could strengthen. 
So yes there were disagreements but there was also a lot learning

I've been with my boyfriend for a little over 3 years.

Dating him is easy but I've had a lot of depression issues. so we have been bickering over little things, but we know we are compatible with the big things.

It's hard. I feel like I want to die and whatever and I feel so low and he doesn't really understand it. We are taking some space but we still see each other a lot. It's not even a break. It's just that we are doing more independent things for a few weeks until my Meds kick in.

We didn't fight a lot til after she was born. Til she was bout 1. Got prego so fast but we are in a way better place married and happy fights are far and few now a days.

Communication,  walking the line of understanding that "Trust kills Lust,  and Lust builds Trust"  also we opened our relationship this year (yr 2) not that,  that's the solution but learning about what it takes to have the kind of commitment taught both of us a ton about the makeup of relationships in general.  So much of what we learned exploring polyamory should be applied to monogamous partnerships...  it also taught us about each other.  It put everything on the table and allowed us to discuss and explore.  There is nothing I wouldn't talk about with my partner.

My husband and i have been together for 3 or 4 years now. We don't really argue. Sometimes one gets frustrated with the other or there was a miscommunication but we talk it out. We don't argue or get passive aggressive towards each other. That's just not fair.
