Why is my baby only taking 30-40 minute naps? Shouldn't his naps be about an hour?

My daughter was the same for literally her whole life lol until about 2wks ago when she started taking 1.5hr naps a few days a week. Now she is taking 2 longer naps and 1 shorter nap most days. So hang in there, there is still hope!

I’m happy when my LO lasts a half hour 🤦‍♀️ I’m hoping they’ll lengthen as her wake times lengthen, but I’ve seen no evidence of it so far... sigh.

I think they go through phases. Two weeks ago my little one would take a couple small naps 20-30 mins and 1 big nap 3 hours. This week he’s only done the little ones. Also you might want to see where they sleep better. If I put my son in his crib I’ve noticed he takes shorter naps. But on my bed (alone of course) he’ll sleep longer and it has to be very quiet.

How long do you leave her when you notice she’s up? Best advice I ever got was not to go in right away, leave for 10-15 and they’ll likly go back to sleep.

I got my hopes up. She was sleeping 1-2 hours for a couple of days but then back to 30 minutes. It’s different every day🤦🏻‍♀️
