What was the very first house pet that you owned?

What is the very first house pet that you've ever owned? Not a family pet but just a pet for you. My very first pet was two turtle's, I got them when I was in high school. I was 14-16 years old.. Please comment if you choose never had a pet or other!

Well we had all sorts of pets growing up, but the first pet I got when I moved out was a rat. I loved her so much. 
Then we got a bird, and then a cat, and then a dog, then another bird, another cat, another dog, etc.etc.
