I was super upset about canceling my baby shower as well. I felt like we were just asking for gifts until I found out how many people are going to be celebrating from home during our virtual baby shower. I have to keep reminding myself that so many people are excited to see baby and support us, and the gifts are the best way they can help at this time 🥰
Cancelling Baby Shower
We made the call this weekend to cancel our baby shower. Idk why I'm so upset about it. I know there are much bigger things going on in the world, but I seriously get so sad thinking about how we cant have a normal baby shower.
My sister and I are currently working on trying a virtual shower / drive by shower.
Its just so depressing and I feel like we are just asking for gifts rather than having a celebration.
Anyone have tips on a virtual shower and how you made it exciting ?

It’s totally okay to be sad about it, I am super sad about mine and feel that I’m being robbed from the pregnancy experience. I also am doing a virtual shower and have felt like I’m just asking people for gifts at this point. But I made a Facebook group page for it and explained those feelings in it. We are also going to draw two names for a diaper raffle still and send them e-gift cards!

The egift cards is a great idea! I was gonna send bingo and I wasnt sure what to give as a prize i do feel like were asking for gifts as well but I wanted everyone to feel included Instill sent out the paper invites just with a note that said join us on Fb for the event live instead lol
My sister is mailing out/delivering by car "brunch boxes" with little treats, small jam jars, and shelf stable orange juices to the guests of our virtual shower. We're going to do a few games but mostly it'll just be an opportunity to video chat with a bunch of people we love 👍🏻 it still sucks, but it's better than nothing. Also we're using Facebook messenger chat.
