TDap ?!

Who needs the TDap shot , do you need the shot? Benefits? 
I just want to know who in the family should get it because it’s $57 each and Not all of us have the money right now.

Get it! Your antibodies will protect the baby until they can get their own vaccine. Whooping coughing can easily kill a baby. My husband and mom got a booster when we were pregnant with our first (for herd immunity) but it’s really most important that YOU get it. You can see if it’s cheaper to get at a pharmacy or something rather than with your OB.

Yup, I'm getting it because you need it every pregnancy to pass some protection on to the baby. My husband is also getting it, but he won't need to get it again for any future babies.

You should get it for sure. You'll help share immunity with your baby so the baby doesn't get whooping cough. It's critical that you get it even if no one else does.
It's recommended that anyone who is going to be a primary care giver also get it.
I have everyone who was planning to visit and stay with us for a few days get it, but they all have insurance so it wasn't a big deal.

My obgyn said it's good for mom and dad to have. I asked if my 2 other children should get it too and he told me if they already had it they'll be fine it last for up to 10 years. I got it done at 29 weeks.

I got it at 27 weeks. It didn’t seem like an option at my doctors office. Regardless I’m not having anyone around my child who hasn’t has the tdap shot yet.

I got mine because of what else is going on. My mom will get hers. She’s uninsured and will use goodrx to get it cheaper.
