Fed up with this lockdown I’m ticked about not having a shower.

Its definitely been a struggle trying to come up with all the little things we would have gotten at our baby showers!😥 like bath soaps diapers wipes clothes grooming kits and so on!

I sent my “invites to support baby” today and already received calls from family saying they are buying gifts and sending them. I was surprised that they responded the way they did given so many people being out of work right now. We will have a sip and see once all this is over but I’m def ordering thank you cards so I can send to everyone

Yes and it’s valid! Of course I want to be safe but I looked forward to welcoming my boy and getting dolled up. Also babies are expensive so gifts are a BLESSING! This is my alternative baby shower for covid.

Mine was supposed to be next Sunday and I am so bummed. People have been dropping gifts off on our porch. My mom feels bad because we’re not getting the random diapers and outfits people would normally get when they we’re walking through a store. It really sucks that we had to cancel. But it’s for the best. We might have a welcome baby party if this thing ever clears up. I’m more bummed thinking that my parents may not be able to meet him for a while.

But i want to give the opportunity to people to help us out. Especially those we have supported in the past.

Girl I feel you. I'm still upset about it. I stay at home all the time even before this pandemic and was looking forward to some social interaction. Also this is our first so tons of people were going to come. Were having a virtual but only half the people we invited are on facebook (where we are having it) and to top it all off, my friend who I have given a gender reveal and baby shower too got to have hers for her second baby smh and shes not due until September. She did hers way early and honestly I was so pissed. If I would've done it the same weekend as her I would've been able to have one but I guess I don't always get what I want. Were hoping to have a sip n see after all is said and done. People are still sending us some things which I'm grateful for, but I really wish we could had seen people and had it at our house. We had food, a bounce house and a ton of drinks...thankfully we got all our deposits back but spent 200 dollars on invites smh.
